I grew up in the street of P. Burgos in Sta. Cruz, Laguna and I can say that it's really one of the busiest streets at the poblacion area. It is, in fact, one of the only two streets that will take you to our town's public market. Someone who's going to the market will have to pass this street.
Years passed, we moved to outer barangays to get away from the traffic. But I never fail to always look back and see the changes. In fact, at about the same time last year, when I went home from Dubai, I wanted to check that very place to see what are the changes. There wasn't much.
But this year, everyone should look forward to the opening of another 'kabalikat' store. The Pandayan Bookshop who is already at the Sunstar Mall, is opening another store at the same street where I grew up. On P. Burgos Street, just about across from Mercury Drug and Bank of the Philippine Islands, the bookstore will open on October 28, 2010.
Pandayan Bookshop is our kabalikat sa pag-aaral. They are here to make school easier for students and teachers by offering us an extensive inventory of school supplies.

Pandayan Bookshop
Sunstar Mall
I used to keep a notebook with a lot of stuff in it. Anything, actually. A table napkin from a recently visited restaurant with a group of friends, or a swatch of a gift wrapper from a friend's birthday present. Sometimes I even put a newspaper clipping of a very good article which I wanted to keep, or an advertisement of the mobile phone of my dreams. All this in a small school notebook from the previous year.
But not anymore...
