Yesterday's Loot

Since I wrote about what's going on at the mall this week, I did go to the mall to look what's on sale. I wanted to watch the show but unfortunately, when we were getting down the jeepney, the talents for Miss Gay 2010 were just getting out of the mall. Yeah, I did miss the show.
What I really wanted was to get that 'fried ice cream.' I went with my aunt and sister so that I can share the big serving (is it really that big?). I didn't want to chill while strolling around the mall. But, the line was long and I didn't bring enough patience, so I said, let's just buy the Miguelito upstairs and start our 'mall tour.'
The stores were really offering surprising discounts but as usual, my feet led me to the bookshop. There was big bookshelf at the innermost part of the Pandayan Bookshop with a lot of books. As always, I get dizzy when I smell the scent of books. But dizzy in a good way. I've always love their smell. I started flipping through to look for something that might interest me... and....
Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt and Letting Go of the Camera by Brooks Jensen |
Oh well, I was really looking for "Angela's Ashes" since I finished reading Frank McCourt's "'Tis." Although I didn't really like 'Tis, I am intrigued by Angela's Ashes. It's a good thing I didn't have to go far to get my books from now on.
Anyway, my sister got a hairbrush and a couple of hair accessories from Broadway Gems and she was surprised that she really got a big discount for the things she bought. That's another genuine sale, right?
You still have a few hours left today if you want to get some things on sale.

I find it amusing that you and your sis pinky have opposite shop buys-you love books and she likes hair brush & accesories...me, if i go to the mall-window shop or real buy, I would always look for cds, hair &body accesories, gadgets, clothings and bags...
:-)
Oh, you noticed... that's why we normally go our separate ways when malling. Only to meet at a pre-set time.
I used to hang out on music stores, too. But, I haven't for the longest time, although it doesn't mean that I stopped loving music.
